Tony Hawks 3 Review

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 is the latest in the hugely successful series. For those of you out there who haven't played a Tony Hawks game before here's the basics. You take on the role of a pro skater of which there are 13 plus unlockable ones and the option to create your own, you then have to complete tasks in each of the 9 levels. These tasks range from getting a certain score by doing tricks to getting some plane tickets to your friend.
For those who have played a Tony Hawks game nothing has change much. The graphics have been improved and the animation is alot smoother than in Tony Hawks 2. The controls haven't been change apart from the addtion of the 'revert' which will change the way you play as much as the manual did. The revert alows you to continiue a combo after you've been on a vert, this means much bigger combos and HUGE points.
As normal there are a wide variety of skate parks which range from canada in the middle of winter to a cruise ship out at sea. There are 9 levels in total and with secret areas in every one there's tons to keep you going for months.

As well as all that it is also the first internet ready ps2 game, all it needs is a compatable modem (there's a list of them in the manual) and an internet collection.Once your online you can play all the multiplayer features of the game but over the net!
In fact the only problem with this game is it seems a bit too familiar to ps2 veterns, that's not to say you won't enjoy the game but it does feel that you've bought an add-on and not a new game.

9/10
A must buy if you don't have a Tony Hawks game and a worthwhile addition if you have one already
